Paraa Safari Lodge is one of the longest established lodges in the area and is well located for exploring Murchison Falls National Park. The views from the lodge, particularly the pool, are superb, overlooking the River Nile. The pool area itself is huge and a lovely place to relax between safari activities as the river flows by. The 54 rooms are based in two storey blocks and are comfortably furnished with small balconies. The main area decor is in the classic Hemingway safari style and maps, pictures and even equipment from early explorations line the walls. Dinner is served in the ‘Captain’s Table’ restaurant, and gives the choice of indoor or outdoor dining, and next door the ‘Explorers bar’ provides the opportunity to unwind at the end of the day.
