Mweya Lodge has an enviable position in the Queen Elizabeth National Park above the Kazinga Channel and surrounded by views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Due to its size (it has 50 rooms) it caters easily for group tours as well as individual travellers, resulting in a slightly impersonal, commercial feel, but we still highly rate it due to the amazing panoramic viewpoint it commands. From the lodge it is only a short drive to the Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking, and combines well with a road transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector for more wildlife viewing. This is a great value choice for the area and the opportunity to spot wildlife passing on the banks of the Channel whilst enjoying a dip in the pool is an enticing prospect.
