Originally built in the 1950’s, Chobe Safari Lodge is further away from Murchison Falls itself than other lodges in the area, but does offer good access to newly established game viewing circuits close by. Like it’s sister lodge (Paraa Safari Lodge), the lodge is large, with 36 rooms plus additional tents and suites, and overall the lodge does not get away from a corporate feel, especially when its conference facilities are in use. However, the rooms are a good size, with lovely views of the river, and the hugethree-tier pool also has panoramic views of the Victoria Nile, so is ideal for spending a leisurely afternoon when you are not out on safari.
