Uganda is a destination for the more adventurous families who enjoy the wilderness and getting away from the crowds. In general, most safari lodges will accept children of all ages, however, for safari activities it is normally the case that children will need to be above the age of 7 yrs for game drives and boat safaris, and walking safaris are only for those over the age of 16 yrs. Many of us have children and we feel that it is worth mentioning that lengthy road transfers may be a challenge for younger children (these can be avoided by using light aircraft instead). Of course, there is flexibility with individual lodges and if you have younger children who are keen on nature and wildlife then we can arrange a superb trip for you on a more exclusive basis. It is worth noting that the minimum age for gorilla and chimpanzee tracking is 15 years.
